For friends who are less exposed to Chinese music, you may not have heard of the 'Heart Music Collection' project, but since 1999, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra has been running this platform to discover talented composers through open calls for compositions, performances, and discussions. This year, I was fortunate to attend 'Heart Music Collection' 2025. Even as a layman in Chinese music, being able to appreciate it up close in the orchestra's performance hall at the Sheung Wan Civic Centre was truly awe-inspiring!
