The series Adolescence has received significant attention since its release on Netflix, particularly regarding the adolescent issues and the influence of internet culture it portrays. The storyline is fairly straightforward, revolving around a simple tale of a "teenage murderer," without any plot twists or fantastical elements. From the very first episode, the protagonist Jamie is already captured, and there’s no reversal; instead, the narrative gently unfolds, guiding us to explore the reasons behind the tragedy.

However, all four episodes utilize the technique of a long take, featuring nearly an hour of unedited content, which has become its selling point. What, then, is the significance of the long take? Why employ this method of presentation?
