The Hang Seng Volatility Index (VHSI) rose above the high of last Wednesday, October 2, to a peak of 44.56 on Monday (October 7). The implied volatility (IV) of the Hang Seng Index night futures session rose again on Monday night, with the IV of the November Hang Seng Index out-of-the-money calls rising to 40%~45%. For calls, this has already surpassed the peak IV of calls during the 'Big Era' and is close to the IV level during the 'Through Train' in 2007.
