At the End of the Road: Let's Have a Meal When We're Free

When young, we are always a bit persistent. If someone said to me "Let's have a meal when we're free" and I agreed, I would take it very seriously, either immediately taking out my calendar to set a date with the other person or texting to ask when to meet for a meal. I used to think this was called treating people with sincerity.

Because when I say "Let's have a meal when we're free" to others, I always mean it, and I selectively say it only to those I really want to have a meal with.
