First, it’s important to note that not all Sikh temples have community kitchens. To determine whether a Sikh temple provides meals, you can look at its exterior. Temples with flagpoles have community kitchens, while those without flagpoles do not offer meals.
Hong Kong’s Sikh temple has a flagpole, so we can experience Sikh culture firsthand.
However, Sikhs place great importance on "cleanliness," which goes beyond just physical cleanliness to encompass a religious sense of purity. This religious purity is not about hygiene but about maintaining order. What does "disorder" mean? It refers to failing to follow religious customs, which can create a "misalignment." Certain behaviors that are acceptable in everyday life are not permitted in the Sikh temple.
