When the Water Runs Dry: Learning English and Foreign Languages

Most people advise beginners in language learning to immerse themselves in the language's atmosphere, preferably by living abroad for a while, or at least by watching dramas at home. However, I believe this approach is only half correct. Firstly, it must be admitted that about half of those who learn a foreign language are a group with relatively high language talent; they can naturally speak the foreign language just by immersing themselves in the environment. But for the other half—those with poorer language talent—it is necessary to start learning from grammar (Grammar). By around the age of twelve, in the first year of middle school, if your child still cannot hear or speak half a correct sentence in a foreign language or write a few correct sentences by this deadline, then I'm sorry, but your child probably belongs to the half with less language talent.
