As a elder, I've lost count of the number of individuals who have approached me seeking advice on what to study at university. It's a question that seems simple, but the answer is far from straightforward.
In today's modern world, euphemisms are often embraced as a polite way to mask selfishness, and sugar-coated language often overshadows genuine guidance. Consequently, I often face a dilemma: should I provide a constructive yet uncomfortable response with good intentions, or offer an agreeable answer that aligns with the listener's expectations but lacks real value?
